The childhood home of Wilt Chamberlain, a famous Philadelphian & Basketball legend is located in the Haddington section of West Philadelphia. Chamberlain lived here from age of three until leaving to attend the University of Kansas in 1955 after playing for Overbrook High School. Acknowledged as one of the all-time greatest American basketball players, Chamberlain’s career included stints with the Harlem Globetrotters, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers. Chamberlain is best known for his 100 point game at the HerseyPark Arena. 

The house is historically significant and is individually listed on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places.
