About the Arena:

It opened in 2002 and was built to minimum standard since it had no professional team. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina they became the temporary host of the New Orleans Hornets, which helped them establish the building NBA viable, leading to the city gaining the relocation of the Seattle Supersonics in 2006, (now the OKC Thunder).

Notable Features:

There is a barcode on each seat to get a free drink at the concession stands. If you come early enough you can go down in section 117-118 to see players warm-up or maybe get an autograph. The arena has an rotation of game-day activities and entertainment including:

  • Digital Caricature Artist in (section 101 and 308)
  • 360 Photo Op (section 116) a commemorative photo experience for fans. 
  • Spirit Station (section 118 & 322)

The upper deck is known as “Loud City” and concourse can have face painting and sign making stations for kids. If you visit the information desk you can ask for a “first game pin” featuring their mascot Rumble the Bison.

  • Cuban grilled cheese: Full Court Press (section 120)
  • MIO Dog: (Black pepper sausage, pulled pork, tobacco onions, Seikel’s mustard, La Baguette bun): MIO Cart, (section 113)
  • The Cheeta-Elote Dog: (Footlong corndog rolled in Cheetos): Baseline, (section 118)
  • Brews & Bars: Enjoy Oklahoma craft beers from local brewers like Skydance, Marshall, & Twisted Spike.
