Timberwolves Arena (Minneapolis, MN)
Target Center Address: 600 N 1st Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403
About the Arena:
Target Center is the second-oldest arena in the NBA after Madison Square Garden, which was built in 1968. They renovated the arena in 2004, replacing all the seats + adding 15,000, reconfigured the lower bowl, replaced the scoreboard and did away with their parquet floors. (They were one of three NBA teams with a parquet floor; the others being Boston Celtics & Orlando Magic.)
The Target Center was also the first arena to install a ‘green roof’ that uses native prairie plants to capture nearly one million gallons of stormwater annually.

- If you’re bringing kids, you can take them to the Crunch’s Kid Zone (at Section 220) for potential meet-and-greets with the mascot.
- There’s a “first Timberwolves game” free certificate at guest services, life-size player cutouts for photos, and surprises on the concourses.
- There is a huge 2-story mural of current players (on the 100-level concourse), a ‘Howl’ photo booth, and large historical displays about the Timberwolves & Minnesota’s basketball legacy.
- If you want to see ARod, he usually sits across for the Wolves bench. Sometimes Adam Theilen sits over there also.
