About this Arena:

This arena, formally known as the “Rose Garden” opened on October 12, 1995 with its first event being a David Bowie concert with Nine Inch Nails opening. This is a two concourse arena, with the lower bowl holding sections 100 & 200 and the upper bowl holding 300 level sections. Notice the “Rip City,” banners in the rafters for past champs (the 1977 title) and great players like Bill Walton, Clyde Drexler, Sabonis.

Marvel at PA announcer Mark Mason’s player introductions pre-game. Any international players are introduced in their native tongue. Watch around for the TrailBlazers mascots: They have two: Blaze the Trail Cat and Douglas Fur (a Sasquatch).

Pre-Game Ideas:

Check Out the Oro Fino Lounge (if you have access): If your ticket or club-level access includes it, this is a great “secret” spot. Even if you can’t stay there, just peeking in or passing by reveals some of the art & ambiance.

Eat at Dr Jack’s (Restaurant) Located just outside the Moda Center’s Southwest entrance, Dr. Jack’s is the perfect destination spot pre and post-game. Inspired by one of the most respected coaches in NBA history, Dr. “Jack” Ramsay, who flawlessly led the Trail Blazers to the 1977 title, Dr. Jack’s is a tribute to this esteemed Hall of Famer.

Kids Stuff:
First Game Certificates: There are three “My First Game” booths across the arena, and here fans can get a “My First Game” collectible button, a signed and dated certificate, and the option to take a selfie photo on a self-service iPad.

Make your way to Kid City on the 300-level to find fun games, activities, face painting, and more! Check out all the entertainment spots available to families between the C11 and C15 entryways.

Booster Seats for Kids: Head to Guest Services at A7 or A25 on the 100-level to get your young Blazer fan a booster seat.

Scoreboard messages are available for $50 donation. You can find more details here.

Notable Food & Drinks:

  • Baes Fried Chicken (Section 119): Excellent fried chicken sandwiches & strips, various sauces (Nashville hot, peach barbecue, etc.) If you like chicken, this is one of the best.
  • Desserts: Shaved Ice (Section 332), Edible Cookie Dough (Section 109) & Ice Cream (Section 202)
  • Local Hard Cider by AVID (Section 108) sweet enough to satiate, and sourced with apples from the Hood River and Yakima Valley—that’s local award-winning AVID ciders.
