Built in 2021 in the location of an old power plant, the AA Center’s design earned it the nickname “The Hangar” because of the Quonset hut-like appearance of its roof.

The AAC was pictured in The Simpsons episode “The Burns and the Bees” as “Dallas Arena”.

Dirk Nowitzki Statue (“The Fadeaway”): Check out the 23-foot white bronze statue in PNC Plaza out front that captures Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki in his iconic one-legged fadeaway shot. The base is engraved with “Loyalty never fades away” — honoring his 21-year career in Dallas.

Get there early, there are lots of tables set up along the first floor where you can sign up for stuff and get free swag. There is one that will give you a small “My 1st game” iron on patch.

Locals say to add your ticket to your wallet or save it before you get their because the internet can’t always be trusted in the crowds.
